The Residence Pass – Talent (RP-T) is a 10-year approval for an independent multiple-entry work pass, targeting top foreign talents in NKEA sectors.

To be eligible for the RP-T, applicants need to be highly skilled individuals possessing the necessary professional qualifications, work experience, and holding a valid Employment Pass at the time of application.

Benefits of the RP-T

Ability to live and work in Malaysia for up to 10 years (with an option to renew).
Flexibility to change employers without having to apply for a new pass.
Spouse and children under 18 years old are eligible for the RP-T dependent pass.
Dependents over 18 years old, parents and parents-in-law are eligible for a renewable one-year Social Visit Pass for up to 5 years.
Spouses are allowed to work without the need to apply for an Employment Pass.
Spouse and children under 18 years old are also eligible to study in Malaysia.

Minimum RP-T qualification criteria:

Has worked in Malaysia for a minimum of 3 years.
Holds a valid Employment Pass with more than 3 months’ validity at the time of application.
Earns a basic monthly salary of RM15,000.
Has a Malaysian income tax file number and has paid income tax for at least 2 years.
Holds a PHD/Master’s/Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in any discipline from a recognised university or a professional/competency certificate from a recognised professional institute.
Possesses at least 5 years of total work experience.
