Semi-skilled and unskilled foreign labour require a Visit Pass (Temporary Employment) to legally work in Malaysia.
Foreign Labour Work Pass
Companies in certain business sectors are allowed to employ semi-skilled and unskilled workers from the 15 source countries. These workers will be eligible for a Visit Pass (Temporary Employment) which is valid for a period of 12 months and can be extended up to a maximum of 10 years. The business sectors that are allowed to apply for the TEVP are:

Plantation
Services (Only the folowing) :
Restaurants (cooks only)
Cleaning Services
Island Resorts
Spa & Reflexology Centres
Golf course (male caddies)
Hotel

Applicants must be between the age of 18 – 45 years old and medically fit (medical checkup by FOMEMA).
